The year of 2007 witnessed a fairly good economic performance in textile industry as a whole, resulting in industrial output value for 3080 billion yuan in the middle and big enterprises. The textiles and apparel export came up to $171.7 billion, 18.86% up as against 2006. With this setting, the knitting industry in China also kept a growth momentum in 2007. From Jan. to Nov., the total knitting apparel and its accessories export amounted to $56.1 billion, 39.23% higher than its previous year, $12.6 billion more than woven apparel export in dollar term, to be more exact, $1 billion dollars more on monthly average.
As people's living is improving, their consumption concept changing, the knitting products like casual wear, underwear, hosiery and socks are the choices of fashion and styles. The large-scale markets for knitting products that keep pace with fashion trends and styles.
The first China Knitting co-organized by China Knitting Industry Association and CCPIT-Tex turned out to be a great success, thanks to the grand supports from leaders from various fields, numerous manufacturers and professional buyers. It is noteworthy that, firstly, the famous domestic enterprises gathered for the show, over 80% of the exhibitors were from the companies with national famous brands, which fully demonstrated bumper achievements in brands building up and development in Chinese knitting industry. Secondly, the exhibition concentrates new products, new technology and the most up-to-date scientific results and information, the products on display all represent the industrial avant-garde in terms of technology-rich and value-added presentations, enabling visitors to feel the marvelous accomplishments made possible by adopting high and new tech to renovate traditional industry. Thirdly, a special "Designers Corridor" is placed to effectively network the production from domestic knitting industry lacking fashion drive with designing. China Knitting is regarded as "Elite Show of Chinese Knitting Industry". The successful running of the first China Knitting lays a solid foundation on its consecutive shows, which makes us even more confident in going all out for a continued success in the second China Knitting.
The second China International Knitting Trade Fair (China Knitting) will be held in Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre from Aug. 26 to 28, 2008 in synchronism with the 14th China International Home-textile Exhibition. China Knitting 2008 will continue to focus on the theme of " new technology, new products, new trends, new market", and will continue to bring the most advent-garde information to the consumers and manufacturers. We will continue to invite the enterprises of competitive brands to the exhibition and will continue to stick to the principle of high end, brands and fashion elites. Based on the previous show, China Knitting 2008 will place more emphasis on dynamic show to express fashion trend to make an important breakthrough in traditional exhibition layout.
The second China International Knitting Trade Fair will make efforts to promote a benign interaction between the exhibition and ordinary consumers to attract attention from market.
Right now, the preparatory work for China Knitting 2008 is well under way .
