SMIT TEXTILE will show its latest technological developments at CITME 2006 (Beijing, Oct 17th - 21st) by displaying the air-jet machine JS900 weaving polyester cotton apparel and the rapier
machine GS900 weaving premium denim.
The GS900 gripper weaving machine is designed for boosting up the versatility and
productivity features thanks to the technology in which SMIT TEXTILE holds undisputed
leadership: the «dynamical control» of flexible rapiers inside the shed, without guiding
teeth, a system that safeguards warp yarns from any friction.
GS900’s maximum efficiency as well as high fabric quality are guaranteed also by the
WSC grippers, for maximum weft insertion regularity. The new false selvedges and leno electronic control operates modulation of crossing phase programmable from terminal– pick-to pick, left and right independently, for a quick adaptation to the most varied types of fabric ensuring versatility and efficacy.
Maximum regularity, high performance and minimum waste of the weft are achieved thanks to the Electronic Weft Selector (up to 12 colours) and the Electronic Weft Cutter.
The new terry version GS900F combines the best functional advantages deriving from the design modularity that distinguishes SMIT TEXTILE’ s 900 series with innovative terry weaving technology: the electronic sley control and the freely programmable formation of the pile ensure top fabric quality and allow unlimited possibilities to create waveforms and pile relief patterns. Ergonomics, ease of use and set up rapidity are the advantages of GS900F design. Thanks to its advanced mechatronic solutions and electronic utilities, terry patterning capability and versatility are optimally blended with high performance and cost-efficiency.
The JS900 air jet weaving machine, based on the same modular architecture, represents the latest generation of air-jet machine, coming from the experience and broad know-how in air-jet insertion acquired by SMIT TEXTILE R&D developing the FAST JET, TERRY JET, T4300 successful models.
Top weft insertion performances in the widest yarn range, reduced air pressure and low air consumption combined with innovative electronic, dynamic and functional features make the JS900 the perfect solution to meet benchmark requirements over time.
The leading edge fluid dynamic technology applied to the JS900 include:
- 2,4,6 colours weft insertion by high speed nozzles
- CAN-BUS communication with weft feeders for real time yarn control
- Electronically controlled airflow for main and auxiliary nozzles
- Programmable weft holding and cutting electronic control
The new air-jet machine is equipped with highperformance HW and flexible interfaces for real-time control of operating units and for measuring and diagnosing information exchange:
- full touch screen colour display - interactive graphics - USB peripheral, arrangement Internet and wireless LAN connections - diagnostic and assistance function.
