17th China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics & Accessories Shanghai closes

The 17th China International Trade Fair Fabrics & Accessories was held in Shanghai new international exhibition center from October 18 ~ 21. China is a big power for textile production and manufacturing, also is the world’s largest fabric sourcing base and consuming market. The fair this year comprised 13 pavilions covers an area of 150,000 square meters in total, with nearly 3110 exhibitors from 23 countries and areas participating and presenting their latest products on the exhibition. There were 923 overseas exhibitors out of all the 3110.
Well known exhibitors and buyers from home and aboard organized their own exhibiting groups. The UK Fashion and Textile Association once again organized numerous UK textile suppliers to participate; some distinctive group exhibitors like the leader of Tencel technology Lenzing Group of Austria; the representative of lycra fabric Invista Group; Hosung Group from Korea and Cotton Council International of America were also included. In addition, there were exhibitors from other countries and areas like Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Spain, Thiland, Turkey.
The fair is not only with unprecedented scale but also with a big variety of products categories. Divided by the end-use, there were dress fabric section, fashion women’s fabric section, casual fabrics section, sport utility fabric section, shirts fabric section, jeans fabric section, underwear fabric section and accessories. Featured exhibition groups from Shaoxing, Xiaoshan, Shengze, Shishi, Haining and Linen Association were also enthusiastic to participate the event.
In the duration of the fair, “Tianhong·2011 China Textile Market Forum” was held in Grand Hyatt Shanghai Hotel. Being one of the significant agenda of the fair, famous financial, management and marketing experts from domestic and overseas, together with well known senior figures of textile enterprises and association leaders at all levels were discussing and searching a new market path under the current complex environment.
As another grand industry meeting in the first year of the 12th Five-Year Planning, China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics presented the world a high level of industry event with its strong line-up of exhibitors, professional fashion activities, internationalized and human service concept.
