5, The ceremony of awarding Chinese textile industry scientific and technological progress prize of 2006 was held. 14 programs of industrial textile products and nonwoven industry won prizes.

It is of high performance and is indispensable in the fields of high-temperature filter, fire control and protection. Only few countries like Japan and the USA master the technique and are capable of realizing industrialized production in the world.

8, The export volume of Chinese industrial textiles and nonwoven products increased greatly in 2006. According to the custom statistics: in 2006, Chinese export volume of nonwovens were 188.484 thousand tons, increased by 17.23% than that of 2005; the export volume equaled to 442.64 million dollars, increased by 22.54% than that of 2005.
9, China released and implemented 6 national standards for experiment approach about geotextiles and 2 customs intensity standards as well as 5 national military products standards.
